Recently, our Events Organiser, Anne Coyne was presented with a cheque and an award from the Lincolnshire Co-Operative as part of their Birthday Bash.

Farndon Archaeological Research & Investigations (otherwise known as FARI Archaeology) is an amateur archaeology group founded in 1998.

We are based at the Memorial Hall, Farndon, 2 miles southwest of Newark Upon Trent, Nottinghamshire.

The main aims of the group are to investigate and promote the archaeological heritage of Farndon and the surrounding parishes and to provide training to members that wish to develop archaeological skills. As well as both amateurs and former professional archaeologists, our membership includes a number of people who have subsequently decided to pursue archaeology in higher education.

We have strong links with both the Nottinghamshire County Council Heritage department and other local archaeology and history groups.
